The Clarington Concert Band will have their Christmas Concert in our own Church on December 14th at 7 pm. We had a lot of positive feedback from last year’s Christmas Concert by the Clarington Concert Band and decided to host the event again.
On November 21st at 7 pm we will show the movie: “The girl who believes in miracles”. When young Sara hears a preacher say faith can move mountains, she starts praying. Suddenly, people in her town are mysteriously healed – but fame soon takes its toll.

Teen friends, Steve, Carrie, Cooper, and Gameboy embark on a weekend camping trip lead by their church youth group leader Stuart (Sean Astin) and his wife Beth (Erin Bethea). Joining them is an outsider Ashley, a self-involved rich kid, whose attitude causes a major commotion within the group, specifically between her and Carrie. Before it gets too out of hand though, Stuart takes this opportunity to share with the kids the incredibly powerful biblical story of Hosea; a story of immovable faith, impeccable commitment, and impervious love.
This Thursday’s 7 pm movie is called “Come Follow Me”. The movie recounts the experience of the Apostle Peter—his misunderstanding, denial, doubts, and fears. The answer for Peter is Jesus who assures his disciple of forgiveness through his death on the cross and resurrection from the dead.
This Thursday October 24th at 7:00 pm we will show the movie “The Encounter”. A spiritual Encounter causes five stranded strangers to take a look at their lives in a way that will leave them changed forever.
This Thursday October 10th at 7 pm in the Hall we will show another movie. Discover the key to life on the Road to Emmaus as two travellers’ great sadness turns to great joy.
This week’s movie at Oct 17 at 7 pm will be “Let there be light”. For all his far-reaching fame, Sol Harkens, the world’s most famous atheist, is a lonely soul and a lousy part-time dad. After a near death experience challenges his simplest assumptions about this world, Sol finds his purpose and re-imagines his life, in a film that will make you laugh and cry and want to stand up and cheer.
Our Life chain event will be held on the corner of Winchester Rd. E. and Watford/Anderson Sts this Sunday Oct 6th. Time: 2:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. Come and join in.
On Sunday Nov 24th, right after the 11 am Mass, from 12 until 1:30 pm, we will have a lunch social in the Hall. Everyone is welcome. The plate is $5, includes coffee, tea, water, or juice for the young.
