There will be 3 mandatory sessions in preparation for 1st Communion at St. Leo the Great Parish. There will also be 2 Sundays for our 1st Communion Celebrations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please print and fill in the\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/stleothegreat.ca\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/1st-Communion-Registration-Form.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Registration Form<\/a><\/strong> found on our parish website. Parents\/Guardians, please bring the completed registration form to the Registration &amp; Info Session with payment in the amount of $60.00 student fee and copy of your child&#8217;s Baptism Certificate, if available. Your child is not required to attend this session. Feel free to raise any questions or concerns in the Info Session.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Registration &amp; Info Session:<\/strong> Currently one date is scheduled. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>October 16, 2026 at 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Church Hall. <\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>All sessions below are mandatory and held at the Church (plus 3 discussions that would take place at your home). Parents\/Guardians will drop their child off at the Church and pick them up for all sessions. Please ensure that your child has a snack and water bottle for each session.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Saturday, October 17<\/strong> from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. &#8211; In Church &#8211; Forgiveness\/Reconciliation. Homework with Parent\/Guardian: Discuss forgiveness &amp; my 1st Catechism: page 15-17.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Saturday, October 24<\/strong> from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. &#8211; In Church &#8211; Last Supper\/Bread of Life. Homework with Parent\/Guardian: Discuss Jesus in the bread of life &amp; my 1st Catechism: page 19-21.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Saturday, October 31<\/strong> from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. &#8211; In Church &#8211; on Confession &amp; Confession with 3 priests. Homework with Parent\/Guardian: Discuss importance of Confession &amp; my 1st Catechism: page 23-25. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>1st Communion Celebration: Sunday, November 1: Group 1 &#8211; 1 p.m. OR<\/strong> <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>1st Communion Celebration: Sunday, November 8: Group 2 &#8211; 1 p.m. <\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Kindly refrain from calling the office unless it is absolutely necessary. You are advised to send your email to&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:stleosacraments@gmail.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">stleosacraments@gmail.com<\/a>. Please note that there will be a collection during the offertory at our Sunday Mass Celebrations, as on regular Sunday Masses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The pastor will consider exceptions in a difficult circumstance, regarding the reception of the sacrament.
