R.C.I.A.

What is R.C.I.A.? The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is the program utilized in Roman Catholic parishes to welcome and instruct potential future Catholics. In other words, if you want to become a Catholic, R.C.I.A. is for you.

How long is the R.C.I.A. program at St. Leo the Great Roman Catholic Parish in Brooklin, Ontario? The course usually begins in September and ends few weeks after the Easter celebration.

Is there a cost? There is no cost, all materials are covered by the parish.

Is there anything I need to do in the meantime? Yes. If you were baptised you will need to provide the office will a photocopy of your baptismal certificate. If you can not find your original copy, obtaining a copy should not be too difficult. Contact the church where you were baptized and ask to have them mail it to you. Give us a call, if you are not able to provide a baptismal copy.
