We invite your child who is baptized in the Roman Catholic Church, and have a copy of your child’s baptismal certificate, to register for the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion.
PARENT INFORMATION MEETING AND REGISTRATION
We will hold only two (2) parent information meetings where you will also register your child for both of these sacraments. Please plan to attend just one of the two offered meetings. Due to Covid-19 seating capacity restrictions we ask that only one-parent attend the meeting.
You are asked to do the following:
- Choose to attend just one of the two meetings (without your child)
Tuesday, October 20 at 7:00 pm. or Thursday, October 22 at 7:00 pm.
- You must bring with you a copy of your child’s Baptismal Certificate (this must be a photocopy of the original but not the original itself – we cannot make copies).
The Baptismal certificate must prove Roman Catholic baptism – only baptized Catholics can receive sacraments in the Catholic Church. If you cannot find the certificate, contact the parish where your child was baptized and request a new certificate.
- Print out and fill-in the Registration Form prior to the meeting and bring this Registration Form with you to the parent information/registration meeting.
Note: Sorry, but we will not accept incomplete registration forms.
- We request a $50. donation to the parish to help cover costs, etc. Please also bring this with you to the information/registration meeting of your choice.
As Covid-19 has put restrictions on all of us, the parish too has its challenges in sacramental preparations.
Therefore, First Reconciliation/First Communion Registrations for the fall of 2020 and the spring of 2021 will be closed as of the last Parent Information meeting on Thursday, October 22. Sorry, but no exceptions. So please plan to register and attend one of the two mandatory Registration meetings where we will give you full information about your child’s First Reconciliation and First Communion preparation and celebration. Questions? Please call the parish office at 905-655-3286 ext. 101.
May God bless and keep you.
Fr. Charles, Pastor
