Knights of Columbus

Welcome to Knights of Columbus Council  11528 – St. Leo The Great, Brooklin.

Who we are

Knights of Columbus are Catholic gentlemen committed to the exemplification of charity, unity, fraternity, patriotism, and defense of the priesthood. The Order is consecrated to the Blessed Virgin Mary. The Order is unequivocal in its loyalty to the Pope, the Vicar of Christ on earth. It is firmly committed to the protection of human life, from conception to natural death, and to the preservation and defense of the family. It was on these bedrock principles that the Order was founded over a century ago and remains true to them today.

40 Cans of Lent

As part of the Knights of Columbus ‘Food For Families’ program, we are inviting each family in the St. Leo the Great community to donate ONE NON-PERISHABLE FOOD ITEM FOR EACH DAY OF LENT. The reality is that food insecurity is a year-round problem and the numbers of people accessing food banks across Durham Region is sadly increasing. Our local food banks and kitchens depend on the generosity of others to provide food to those who cannot afford food and often struggle to purchase these items as well. The Knights of Columbus hope you can donate to this worthy endeavor:
Donations can be dropped off at each weekly Mass, there will be signs and containers that will be delivered to the food banks after each weekend.  We need 1000 lbs!!!!!

VALENTINE DANCE – Saturday, Feb. l0th.

St. Leo Knights of Columbus invites everyone to attend its Annual Valentine Dance for an enjoyable evening of socializing in the Parish hall starting at 6:30 P.M. on Saturday, Feb.l0th. A hot buffet will be served with dessert, coffee or tea: music will be provided by a disc jockey: cash bar will be available and spot prizes and 50-50 draw included.

Council General Meeting – October 3rd.

A friendly reminder that the next General Meeting is scheduled for October 3rd evening at 7:30 in the Church hall. Our September meeting had an increases turnout, however we would love to see more members attend this meeting. It is a great opportunity to give back to the community and have a voice in the direction of our council on future decisions. It is also a great opportunity to meet other Knights as part of our parish. Please if you are free we would love to see you there.
